A Taper Pulley is a power transmission pulley designed with a tapered hub bore that accommodates a split conical locking bushing (such as a Taper Lock or QD bush). When fastened, the bushing clamps tightly and uniformly around the rotating drive shaft.

It is widely preferred over traditional solid-bore pulleys because it eliminates keyway wear, avoids damage or scoring on motor shafts, guarantees true concentric running, and allows maintenance technicians to replace or service pulleys in minutes using standard Allen keys.

Every taper pulley produced by Dhara Industries undergoes dynamic balancing according to ISO 1940 Grade G 6.3 / G 2.5 standards. Dynamic balancing eliminates uneven mass distribution that causes radial wobble at high rotational speeds.
